SIOUX CITY (KTIV) - Petitions for the Sioux City City Council were turned in on Thursday, Aug. 28, and we now know the nine candidates running.

On Friday, Aug. 29, the Woodbury County Auditor released the official list of candidates who are looking to become council members. Three seats are open for this upcoming election.

Jessica Lopez-Walker

Ike Rayford

Marty Pottebaum

Brett Watchorn

Earlier this week, the three council members whose seats are up for election announced that they would not be running again. Dan Moore, Alex Watters and Matthew O’Kane all announced they will not seek reelection.
