Jay M. Schonfeld, a loving husband, father and grandfather, passed away on Aug. 28, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love. He was the devoted husband of Robbie, the loving father to Amy (Simon) Feiglin, Jonathan (Kim Favor) and Cindi (Michael) Sigal and the proud grandfather of Drew, Jonah, Theo, Tali, Spencer, Eli, Sadie and Charlie.

Jay was born on Sept. 10, 1945 to Manny and Ceila Schonfeld, and was the brother of Wendy (Richard) Feldman and Alvin (Susan) Schonfeld. He was a 1963 graduate of Shaker Heights High School before heading to Madison, Wis., where he met the love of his life, Robbie, the first day of freshman year. The Wisconsin Badgers quickly joined the Cleveland sports teams on the list of those that he remained loyal to no matter how many times they let him down.
