A Perth fashion label made famous by celebrities including Hailey Bieber and Kylie Jenner is shutting up shop after nine years of business.

Ambra Maddalena , founded by Ambra Fossati, is a boutique label known for handmade resort wear that some of the most famous faces in fashion have taken a liking to.

Unfortunately, Fossati said that due to issues with cash flow after the COVID pandemic, unpaid invoices and finding a new passion in acting and photography, she was closing the brand down in October.

“After COVID-19, I was owed six figures in unpaid invoices from Australian and international stockists. I almost went under. I would name and shame, but I fear Australian defamation laws,” she wrote on Instagram.
