Some local police officers are putting out the call for assistants with a very special assignment.

The Greater Victoria Police Chorus is set to begin its 42nd season this fall, but before they head back to rehearsal they will be looking for some new members to join them in a new practice venue.

For their 42nd season, the chorus will get back to rehearsal on Sept. 3, with a new list of songs ranging from choral selections, spiritual, popular ballads, sea shanties and rock and roll.

The male chorus performs a dozen shows a season running from September to May, under the guidance of professional music director and with support from professional musicians.
