WASHINGTON — Police say three teens are facing charges after a man was shot during an attempted robbery in Northeast D.C.
According to the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD), officers were called to the 3700 block of Hayes Street, NE for reports of a shooting just before 8:30 p.m. on July 29.
When officers arrived, they found a man who had been shot. The victim told investigators that two people had approached him and took out a gun before trying to rob him. However, the attempted robbery ended when the gun went off before the victim could comply with the demands.
The suspects ran away after the shooting without getting anything from the victim. The man was treated for a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.
