Odessa Police have made an arrest in connection with stolen firearms and other stolen property. Nathaniel Childress, 26, has been charged with two counts of Felon in Possession of a Firearm, an OPD news release said.

According to the release, on August 29, at approximately 2:41 a.m., members of OPD’s K9 Unit, Patrol Division, and Intelligence Unit were conducting directed patrols around Oakwood and JBS Parkway due to recent burglary activity. During the operation, officers observed a suspicious vehicle traveling without its headlights on during nighttime hours. A traffic stop was initiated, and the driver was identified as Childress.
