SOUTHERN KENTUCKY, (WYMT) - The East 80 Yard Sale is underway and drivers should expect delays through the Labor Day weekend.

The sale runs from Thursday, Aug. 28 through Monday, Sept. 1, stretching 55 miles along Highway 80 through Somerset, London, and Manchester.

Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reminding drivers to slow down, watch for pedestrians, and buckle up. Deputies will be out all weekend to help keep traffic moving.

Sheriff Root also says deputies will be looking for impaired drivers as part of the “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” campaign, which runs through Monday night.
