A man from Marble, North Carolina man is facing charges for the rape of a minor, according to the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office.

Jason Lewis Gibby, 49, faces two counts of first degree statutory rape, and two counts of felony incest.

Gibby turned himself into the Cherokee Country Detention Center on Tuesday, August 26, 2025.

He was initially being held without bond, but the sheriff's office says it was later set at $2,000,000.

Gibby is set to appear before the Cherokee County District Court on Wednesday, September 10.
