Earlier this year, the Chattanooga Future Fund was launched, to provide local students with college and career savings accounts. Every kindergarten and middle school student can receive $150 to start their account. One local family is helping students at the school their daughters attended.

Shelia and Dane Boyington are proud former Big Ridge Elementary parents. Now they're giving back, with $50 donations to each kindergarten and first grade student in the Chattanooga Future Fund .

Research shows that students with even a small amount of savings are far more likely to enroll in and graduate from college.
