Prince's Island Park is the hub of activities on Saturday; the Pride Parade takes place at 11 a.m. on Sunday
Thousands are set to pour into downtown Calgary and Prince’s Island Park this weekend as Calgary Pride celebrates its 35th anniversary with its annual parade and festival. The streets will be filled with colour, community and celebration in what organizers call one of the largest Pride gatherings in the country.
This year’s theme — Bursting into Bloom — celebrates a season of blossoming love, growth and pride while honouring the local groups and advocates who have helped grow Calgary’s LGBTQ community.
