BUFFALO, N.Y. — Partly cloudy skies and chilly conditions continue through Friday night with low temperatures in the mid to upper 40s for Western New York, and even mid to lower 40s south and for the Southern Tier.

These will be the coldest low temperatures locally since early June, but even colder conditions are expected into northern Pennsylvania with low temperatures dropping down to the mid to upper 30s.

A Frost Advisory is in effect there for McKean and Potter counties from 4 a.m. to 9 a.m. Saturday. Areas of frost could develop and frost could harm sensitive outdoor vegetation.

It does warm up a bit over the long holiday weekend with partly to mostly sunny skies. Saturday high temperatures will be in the upper 60s to near 70 degrees.
