NORWICH, Conn. (WFSB) - Two Connecticut businesses teamed up to support teachers in Norwich.

Surplus Unlimited and Hyde Park Landscape, both located in Norwich, donated four pallets worth of supplies to the school district to help teachers get the school year started.

“Being active in the community and going around to the schools, I have seen the need. Teachers give so much of their time and life to these schools, so this is the least we can do to give back,” said Brandon Hyde, Vice President, Hyde Park Landscape, Inc.

“I really feel for teachers. I see teachers coming in every day saying, ‘We have to buy paper, pens, different things for our projects.’ It just seems unfair, so this is our way of trying to help them,” said Michael Matera, Owner, Surplus Unlimited.
