KILLINGLY, Conn. (WFSB) - Political signs in Killingly are causing controversy in town.

A number of residents are unhappy with the language and message on signs outside a home on Upper Maple Street.

The town says it is free speech, and the signs can stay.

“I mean, it’s freedom of speech, but you can only go so far with it,” said Jacob Gilman, Killingly.

The signs show the owner is clearly not a fan of President Trump and is not afraid to show it.

“I am all for freedom of speech, but there is a limit as to what’s appropriate and what’s not appropriate,” said Jasmine B., Killingly Parent.

Jasmine has a ten-year-old daughter who goes to Killingly Intermediate School, just a third of a mile away from the home with the signs.
