Martinsville (0-1), coming off a stunning loss to Bedford North Lawrence, heads to Class 5A No. 4 South, which dominated in its opener against Columbus East. Across town, BNL (1-0), coming off a stunning win over the Arties, led by a 400-yard passing day from Dayson Kirby, will try to end a six-year losing streak to North (0-1) .
Elsewhere, Edgewood (1-0) will be hitting the road for a two-hour plus bus ride to play South Spencer (0-1) for the first time. The Mustangs have not started 2-0 since 2019. The Rebels opened up against local rival and powerhouse Heritage Hills and it did not end well.
