OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - If you want to get a COVID-19 shot this year, you may want to check to see if you are in the group of people who have federal approval to get the vaccine.

The FDA has approved the next round of COVID-19 vaccines for this fall, but only a smaller high-risk group of people have been approved for it.

If you are 65 or older, or a child, or adult with at least one medical condition, go ahead and roll up your sleeve for the shot.

But this year, it’s not recommended everyone get one.
