ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - Atlanta police arrested a man accused of breaking into a home on Tuesday morning.

Benny Brathwaite, 23, faces charges of burglary, criminal trespass, obstruction and possession of marijuana.

At around 4 a.m., a security company monitoring cameras at a home on Alexa Avenue SE, which is close to East Lake Golf Club, saw someone break into the property and notified police.

An officer found the suspect walking nearby. Body camera footage shows the man initially saying he was walking to his home across the corner, but he took off when the officer got out of his patrol car.

The officer followed the man in his car, eventually cornering him
