The UCP government is launching what they call the new Alberta Wallet.
This will give Albertans the option to carry their Government of Alberta-issued documents on their phones.
A mobile health card is now available to all Albertans for use in their Alberta Wallet, they also shared.
“Albertans expect modern, convenient service delivery and that includes how they obtain, store and renew important government documents,” says Nate Glubish, Minister of Technology and Innovation.
“With the Alberta Wallet, we are providing a secure, user-friendly option for those who prefer it. This is the kind of innovation that puts Albertans first.”
According to the province, the mobile health card will serve as valid proof of health insurance coverage throughout Alberta and can be presented at hospitals
