SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) -- Upcoming road reconstruction projects may cause delays for drivers in Syracuse.
Syracuse Mayor Ben Walsh announced that road reconstruction projects on South Franklin Street and Water Street will begin Saturday, August 30 and are expected to be completed in a week.
The road will be closed during construction from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., and traffic detours will be in place. Drivers may experience delays and are advised to use alternate routes if possible.
The projects will involve milling and paving work on South Franklin Street from Erie Boulevard West to Washington Street, and on Water Street from South Clinton Street to South Franklin Street.
The actual project timeline is contingent on favorable weather.
