COLLEGE STATION, Texas (KBTX) - College Station leaders met on Thursday to review the final phase of a two-part feasibility study on a potential community recreation center, which revealed strong market demand and widespread resident support.
Parks and Recreation Director Kelsey Heiden said the study, which began in early 2024, shows the city is positioned to move forward if leaders choose.
“That data show there is a need in the market,” Heiden said. “It does show that a community would support a Recreation Center.”
