BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) - This weekend marks the start of many Texans’ favorite season - football season! However, the forecast is looking less than ideal for the kickoff to both highschool football on Friday and Aggie gameday on Saturday.

THE SETUP

High pressure loosens its grip on the Brazos Valley as a trough of low pressure digs down into the northeastern reaches of the country to close out the week. This will send a weak cold front through our neck of the woods on Friday before pushing to the coast Saturday evening. This front will be greeted by a decent pool of moisture from the Gulf, creating the perfect recipe for widespread showers.
