VERMILION PARISH, La. (KLFY) -- A partnership between the Vermilion Parish School System and the sheriff’s office aims to implement new safety measures to all school cameras which helps enhance security and response times during emergencies.

Sheriff Eddie Langlinais how safety measures like the Raptor app and access to all school cameras is a necessary tool for crucial emergencies.

“This is something that's been needed for a while but I'm glad now we have all the puzzle pieces in place to be able to accomplish it,” Langlinais said.
