FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) - A popular Fresno restaurant will be closed indefinitely following a kitchen fire, the city's fire department said.
Fire crews responded to Yosemite Falls Cafe, at 5123 N Blackstone Avenue, at around 6:40 a.m. after receiving multiple calls reporting smoke coming from the building.
When they arrived, crews reported finding a kitchen fire that had spread into the ducting and attic spaces of the building. The employees inside the building were able to make it out and none reported injuries.
The restaurant was not open at the time of the fire, the fire department says.
Due to damage from the incident, the restaurant will be closed for an undetermined amount of time, according to the Fresno Fire Department.
The cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
