Former University of Texas star linebacker and Baltimore Ravens second-round pick Sergio Kindle has been diagnosed with cancer, according to a report from The Dallas Morning News .
The 37-year-old Kindle had been experiencing stomach pains for a few months, leading him to get a CT scan, according to the report.
The scan revealed that he has early stage colon cancer.
Sergio Kindle starred at Texas, before being drafted in the second round of the 2010 NFL Draft by the Baltimore Ravens. Unfortunately for Kindle, he lasted only three years in the NFL, before being waived. However, he did win a Super Bowl during the 2012 season with Baltimore.
Kindle spoke with The Dallas Morning News about his cancer diagnosis, as well as his father, Johnny Walker, dying from cancer.
