OSHKOSH, Wis. (WBAY) - A man is in custody after police say he fired a gun inside a home on Friday afternoon.

Just after 4:30 p.m. on Friday, Oshkosh police officers responded to a weapons complaint in the 600 block of Jackson Street after a report that someone had a gun inside a home. An update to the report told police that the man had shot the gun and was still in the home.

Once officers were on scene, they encountered a man who matched the description of the suspect and detained him without incident. Officers confirmed that nobody was hurt and that there were no other threats in the area.

A search of the area where the man was encountered at led police to a loaded handgun, and a search of the suspect yielded a narcotic substance.

The man was identified as a 50-year-old from Michiga
