SLIDELL, La. — The St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office arrested a new suspect in the August 13 after a different vehicle was identified.
Friday, 40-year-old Connie Estes of Slidell was arrested and booked into the St. Tammany Parish Correctional Center. She faces charges of Felony Hit and Run with Death or Serious Bodily Injury and Felony Obstruction of Justice.
Deputies identified another vehicle, a silver Nissan Armada, driven by Connie. Initially, deputies arrested a Slidell man in the hit-and-run, but investigation later identified the Armada as the actual vehicle, leading the DA to drop the original charges.
