NEW ORLEANS — After we told the story of a one-pound baby at Memorial Medical Center, and the doctor who saved his life during , we heard from several other mothers who said they have extraordinary Katrina baby stories too.

So, for the 20th anniversary, we have their memories.

As we remember the lives taken in the storm, families are remembering the new lives that came into the world in an extraordinary way 20 years ago. T’Quana Noble never knew her baby boy Lennox Brown had arrived nearly two months early. She was in a coma from a pregnancy complication. Her quick-thinking 5-year-old-girl called 911.

“‘My mom is saying that she can't see. She's hitting herself’ as the seizure was happening and ‘she has a baby in her tummy,’” T’Quana Noble says her daughter told the 911 operator.
