Predicting openers in the transfer portal era is twice as hard as in the old days, with almost every team undergoing dramatic roster turnover. This much we know, though: The Wildcats traditionally struggles on offense, and the Green Wave is loaded with defensive talent. Points could be at a premium since quarterback Jake Retzlaff is starting a month after transferring to Tulane and has no proven receiver, but Retzlaff came through in the clutch several times at BYU last season and likely will do it again.
