ST. ALBANS, WV (LOOTPRESS) – The Shady Spring Tigers traveled down the West Virginia Turnpike Friday night and made a statement in their season debut, blanking the St. Albans Red Dragons 40-0 on the road.

The Tigers (1-0) controlled the matchup from start to finish, keeping St. Albans (0-1) off the scoreboard while piling on points with its offensive attack.

Shady Spring’s defense also stood tall, forcing stops throughout the night and never allowing the Red Dragons to build momentum.

With the win, Shady Spring opens the season with a dominant performance and will return home next Friday for its opener against the Class AA James Monroe Mavericks. St. Albans will try to regroup as it remains at home to face the Nitro Wildcats.
