A high school football player was airlifted after being injured during a game on Friday night in Iva, South Carolina.

During the third quarter of the game between the Palmetto Mustangs and Crescent Tigers, a Palmetto High School player was injured. He was airlifted to the hospital. Latest Forecast

According to officials, the student is a junior.

Jen Mazza with Anderson School District One and Two said, "Our priority is on the student athlete and his family at this time."
