BENTON, Ark. — For the first time in more than two decades, the Salt Bowl was back home in Saline County, and the Bryant Hornets made sure to leave their mark on the return, defeating the Benton Panthers 40–10 Friday night.

The annual showdown between Benton and Bryant has long been considered one of the premier high school football games in Arkansas.

Since 2000, the matchup has been played at War Memorial Stadium in Little Rock, but this year, the teams faced off in Benton, bringing the tradition back to where it began.
