A 51-year-old man wanted for stabbing a man in the chest was arrested and charged with assault in the first degree, according to the Honolulu Police Department.

On Aug. 9, shortly before 9 a.m., in the backroom of a bar located on Sheridan Street, a man was allegedly stabbed multiple times in the chest by Kenneth Bounlangsy.

Bounlangsy was considered dangerous and police cautioned the public not to approach him while they searched for him. He was loose for eight days after he was charged on Aug. 21.

He was arrested at 12:30 p.m. by detectives with HPD’s Criminal Investigation Division’s Strategic Enforcement Detail.
