SPRING GARDEN – Pleasant Valley’s Braxton Salster completed 5-of-13 pass attempts for 117 yards. He also ran for 83 yards on nine carries with two scores in leading the Class 2A, No. 7 Raiders to a 40-7 football win at Class 1A, No. 6 Spring Garden on Friday.
Caden Vick ran for 110 yard on eight carries with two touchdowns for Pleasant Valley (2-0). Jaden Sparks added 100 yards and a touchdown on seven totes. Cooper Dougal added a 44-yard touchdown pass.
Brady Ruark scored on a 24-yard run late in the third quarter for the Panthers’ only touchdown.
Spring Garden (1-1) looks to rebound when it opens Region 8 play at home against Ragland next Friday.
