BOULDER, CO – Coach Deion Sanders has been stating for months that his new Colorado football team is an improvement, even calling it “possibly the best team we’ve ever assembled” this week. However, in their first game on Friday, Aug. 29, at sold-out Folsom Field, Georgia Tech defeated Colorado 27-20. Georgia Tech quarterback Hayne King secured the game-winning 45-yard touchdown run with 1:07 remaining.

This was Sanders’ first game without his two youngest sons, quarterback Shedeur and safety Shilo, playing for him.
