MEDINA, Ohio – The Medina Recreation Center has a free community event for anyone who has an interest in skateboarding.

The rec center has partnered with Advocate Skateworks to host the first ever “Let’s Skate Medina: Intro to Skateboarding.” The event will take place Sunday, Sept. 21 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Reagan Skate Park.

This free, family-friendly event is designed to introduce new skaters to the sport in a supportive and fun environment. The day will feature professional skateboarding demonstrations, beginner lessons, a DJ, food trucks and more. All ages are welcome, and no prior experience is needed to participate. The event itself is free and skate lessons are available for $30 for Medina residents and $35 for non-residents.
