Before the age of Trump, it meant something to be a Republican. There were certain values the political party espoused, namely small government, less taxes, and defenders of democracy abroad.

According to the latest Quinnipiac University Poll, only 37% of Americans approve of the president. The AP-NORC Poll has him at 45% approval, the highest of all pollsters, and still down from the beginning of his term.
