CLEVELAND, Ohio — The Wadsworth Grizzlies defeated the New Albany Eagles Friday night, 35-7.

Wadsworth, ranked eighth in this week’s cleveland.com Top 25, improves to 2-0. The New Albany Eagles have fallen to 0-2.

Wadsworth took the lead early in the first quarter and never looked back. Quarterback Brysen Hall got the scoring started in the first with a 47-yard touchdown pass to Calix Lemp to put the Grizzlies up 7-0 early.

Gavin Matigan found the end zone early in the second quarter with his first and only score on the day, putting the Grizzlies up 14-0. Two Cooper Gray rushing touchdowns put the Grizzlies up 28 going into halftime.

Brysen Hall found Lemp again for their second touchdown of the night, extending the Grizzlies’ lead to 35-0.
