GEORGETOWN, S.C. (WCSC) - Police are investigating an overnight shooting in Georgetown that sent one woman to the hospital.
The Georgetown Police Department said officers were called to reports of gunshots in the 1900 block of Gilbert Street at about 1:00 a.m. Saturday.
At the scene, officers reportedly found a gray BMW that had been hit with gunshots and a female victim who had a gunshot wound to the leg. She was taken to Georgetown Memorial Hospital for treatment.
Investigators with the Georgetown Police Department are continuing to investigate. Anyone with information is encouraged to call the Police Department at 843-545-4300.
