IVA, S.C. (WSPA) - A Palmetto High School football player had to be flown to the hospital Friday night after being injured on the field.
According to a social media post by the Palmetto Mustangs athletics program, a player was injured during the third quarter of a football game against Crescent High School.
Jennifer Mazza, spokesperson for Anderson School District One confirmed a student was injured during the game and said there were no updates on his condition early Saturday morning.
"Our priority is on the student athlete and his family at this time," Mazza said.
