×The Holston Cavaliers lost several standout football players due to graduation, but they didn’t come close to losing their 2025 season-opener on Friday night.

In a downright dominant effort, the dudes from Damascus racked up 426 yards of total offense in a 49-18 dismantling of the Mustangs from Eastern Montgomery.

Eli Tweed rushed for 212 yards on 21 carries and scored three touchdowns, while Colin Widener added 83 yards on 17 carries with two touchdowns and a score.

Desmond Mickens (nine carries, 87 yards) also had himself a game as he and Dayton Parris contributed TD runs to the triumph.

The defense limited Eastern Montgomery to 143 yards of total offense.
