An aid worker from the UK, who previously assisted refugees fleeing the conflict-ridden Sudan , has returned to the base where he endured three harrowing days amidst a military coup. ‌

Shaun Hughes, from Gloucester, has re-entered South Sudan to oversee the response of the UN World Food Programme (WFP) . ‌
