The chances of Keir Starmer calling a snap General Election just drew a step closer after a petition calling for one received more than 850k signatures. The petition calls for an immediate General Election to be held and has racked up some 854,807 signees as of Saturday night (August 30) ‌

It smashed the threshold for MPs to debate it of 100k in early August and now only has another 24 days to wait for a date to be confirmed for a debate to take place. ‌
