KALAMAZOO, MI — When Ryan March was 18, he had the acting bug so bad, he wanted to forgo a college soccer scholarship and try his hand on Broadway.
Instead, the Portage Central High School graduate attended nearby Western Michigan University, where he would perform on the pitch and earn his degree.
Once graduated in 2001, he darted for California.
March, now 46, has spent the last 24 years immersed in TV and film, first as an actor, appearing in shows like “Days of Our Lives” and the reboot of “Gilmore Girls.”
Over the last half-dozen years, his focus has shifted to editing and producing.
His latest goal — bringing a feature film to Michigan — is coming to fruition. March is entering the third and final week of co-producing an Indie horror movie titled, “The Crawling.”
The bulk of th
