For the first time in his five-year stint as head coach, Jon Barker had R.A. Long playing meaningful games late in the season in 2024.
The Lumberjacks went into their season finale against Mark Morris still in position for playoff spot.
“It was the first time that R.A. Long and Mark Morris have been playoff-relevant in Week 9 in a long time,” Barker said.
This fall, Barker would like to see the Jacks take that next step and advance to the playoffs for the first time since 2014.
To do that, the Lumberjacks will need to find new players to fill the void left by a talented group of graduated skill players.
Barker thinks Kayden Prichard is ready to step into that role this fall.
