Port of Woodland commissioners have moved to oust the port’s executive director, Jennifer Wray-Keene.

The commissioners voted 3-0 on Aug. 7 to give Wray-Keene a 60-day notice of termination, said port commission President Bob Wile, who represents District 2.

“The commissioners just decided to move a different direction,” he said when asked what was behind the move. “We thank her for everything, and we’re moving on.”

Wray-Keene did not respond to a request for comment. She had been in her role since 2014.

During that time, the port has significantly expanded its footprint in the area, including opening a new industrial park , the recent purchase of an upscale RV park and a project to turn Austin Point into a recreation area .
