The Central Coast will see warm to hot weather through the final days of August and into the first few days of September.

A gradual cooling trend is expected to begin Wednesday and last through next Sunday.

High pressure over northern Nevada will generate gentle to moderate (8 to 18 mph) Santa Lucia (northeasterly) winds each morning through the Labor Day weekend.

These offshore winds will promote clear skies and warm to hot conditions across the region.

Inland Valleys (Santa Ynez): Highs will range from the upper 90s to low 100s, with Sunday likely the hottest day.

Coastal Valleys (Santa Maria and Lompoc): Temperatures will rise into the low to mid-80s by late morning and early afternoon, before cooling as moderate to fresh northwesterly onshore winds (13–24 mph) move in.
