The recent run of Disney live-action remakes of animated classics have ranged from modestly alright (The Jungle Book) to downright terrible (Snow White). But perhaps the worst cinematic crime of all is for a film to be bland and forgettable. That's exactly what happened when Disney decided to reboot one of its best animated action movies into live-action. The live-action Mulan, released in 2020, should have been a surefire hit for the studio.
