Luna Park in Coney Island marked National Roller Coaster Day by presenting $75,000 in donations to local organizations.
Three Brooklyn nonprofits received $25,000 each on Aug. 16: the Coney Island branch of the Brooklyn Public Library, Children of Promise, and the Coney Island Sharks.
“Giving back is woven into the fabric of who we are at Luna Park,” said Alessandro Zamperla, president and chief executive officer of Central Amusement International Inc. “Our Donation Day tradition is more than just a celebration—it’s a meaningful way to support the organizations that uplift and empower our community every day.”
The gift continues Luna Park’s annual “Donation Day” tradition, a commitment to supporting groups that serve children, families and the broader community.
