MADISON (WKOW) — Authorities are investigating a case of caregiver abuse involving a 23-year-old cognitively disabled and non-verbal adult.

The investigation now includes video evidence showing the alleged battery.

It happened on the 4700 block of Bunker Hill Lane.

Police took 67-year-old Scholarstica E. Aniekwenagbu into custody for questioning.

Aniekwenagbu is now booked into the Dane County Jail.

She is facing charges of abuse and neglect of patients and residents, a felony offense under Wisconsin law.
