Manchester United won't receive a windfall from Fulham selling Andreas Pereira to Palmeiras because the Brazilian is departing for the same £10million sum he was purchased for.
Pereira, who arrived at Old Trafford in 2012 after his 16th birthday, worked his way through the Red Devils' academy ranks. After several loans, he somewhat broke through in 2019 under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer .
Despite penning a new four-year deal, he was sent out on loan to Lazio in 2020 and then to Flamengo the following season. With his days in Manchester numbered, Pereira joined Fulham permanently in 2022 for a fee understood to be £10m, and a 20 per cent sell-on clause was attached to his contract .
