Manchester United boss Ruben Amorim has explained why he overlooked £66million striker signing Benjamin Sesko when Mathues Cunha was forced off injured against Burnley.
Cunha went down in the first half during Saturday's 3-2 Premier League win over the Clarets and was replaced by Joshua Zirkee, with Sesko remaining on the bench.
The Slovenia striker did come on in the second period, replacing Casemiro with just under 20 minutes remaining. Amorim's handling of Sesko has also been a talking point this season. United paid big money to sign Sesko from RB Leipzig, but the striker has yet to start in a Premier League fixture.
He played the full 90 minutes in the Carabao Cup defeat to League Two Grimsby Town in midweek, when he was the final outfield player to take a penalty in the marathon
